A clear scope.
A practical route
into MarineWorld.
Understand who can participate, how to establish your institutional ecosystem and how additional support for eligible AI-Native Companies is agreed.
01 / INSTITUTIONAL PATHS
Two institutional structures.
One defined industry scope.
University / Faculty Ecosystem
Relevant faculties, research centres and entrepreneurship units can establish an institutional ecosystem for eligible ventures. Examples include marine engineering, shipbuilding, maritime logistics and technology research with a clear application in MarineWorld’s Sector Cities.
A general AI, software or engineering department may participate through a relevant maritime or AI-Native Techno-Industries activity. Its subject name alone does not establish eligibility.
Technopark / Incubation Ecosystem
Technoparks, incubators, accelerators and venture-development programmes can establish an ecosystem for their eligible companies and teams.
The wider institution does not have to serve maritime industries exclusively. However, its MarineWorld ecosystem and every participating company must fit the defined sector scope; an unrelated portfolio is not automatically included.
02 / ECOSYSTEM & COMPANY ELIGIBILITY
Sector fit.
A concrete business proposition.
Both the institutional ecosystem and each AI-Native Company must relate to maritime and AI-Native Techno-Industries activities covered by MarineWorld’s Sector Cities. Identify the relevant city and explain the product, service, technical expertise or project’s practical sector application.
Sector alignment
The activity must fit at least one relevant MarineWorld Sector City. Examples include SHIPYARD.CITY, ENGINEERING.CITY, PORT.CITY, MARINELOGISTICS.CITY, MARINELEGAL.CITY, INSURANCEOPS.CITY, MARINEAI.CITY and DIGITALTWIN.CITY.
Explore the Sector Cities →A defined offering or development goal
A team may bring a product, service, technical expertise or a project with an identifiable commercial application. It does not need to have its first customer already. A clear proposition and responsible team or business are needed to establish a meaningful company presence.
03 / PRACTICAL SCOPE EXAMPLES
Start with the sector use case.
| Proposed activity | How to describe its relevance |
|---|
| Marine engineering or design services | Describe the service and its application to vessels, equipment or marine projects. ENGINEERING.CITY may be relevant. |
| Port or maritime logistics software | Explain the operational problem and the firms it serves. PORT.CITY or MARINELOGISTICS.CITY may be relevant. |
| Marine AI, data or digital twin project | Identify the maritime use case and intended business offering. MARINEAI.CITY, MARINEDATA.CITY or DIGITALTWIN.CITY may be relevant. |
| Marine equipment or a technical component | Explain the equipment’s sector application and offering. MARINEEQUIPMENT.CITY or another matching technical city may be relevant. |
| General software with no applicable sector use case | Outside this programme’s scope. An unrelated company cannot qualify merely by joining a university ecosystem. |
| An academic group with no defined offering or development proposal | Clarify the team, proposed product, service or practical expertise before proposing an AI-Native Company presence. |
04 / THE ENTRY SEQUENCE
The institution establishes its ecosystem.
Companies participate within it.
01Identify the institutional lead and scope
Choose the university/faculty or technopark/incubation path. Identify the responsible contact, relevant Sector Cities and the companies or teams you plan to connect.
02Establish the institutional ecosystem
Following confirmation of the participation arrangements, establish the institution’s ecosystem. Its published URL becomes a direct destination for introducing the connected businesses.
03Establish or connect eligible companies
Each participating venture uses its own AI-Native Company presence within the relevant sector context and connects to the institutional ecosystem. The standard company setup route remains available.
04Publish, share and develop business
Share the ecosystem, company or offering URLs. Maintain the published business information and use the relevant communication, inquiry and RFQ routes to develop direct relationships.
05 / USING THE PLATFORM
Standard participation.
Additional support where agreed.
Institutions and eligible companies can use MarineWorld’s relevant ecosystem and company services under the applicable plans and terms. Receiving Launch Credits is not the only way to participate.
Institutional ecosystem
Connect participating companies within the institution’s ecosystem and share the published ecosystem URL as a common business destination.
Company management
Use Company Studio to maintain company information, approved knowledge, offerings, AI configuration and commercial contact routes.
Products, services & AI assistance
Present company offerings, supporting information and available AI Advisor access using their direct business destinations.
Business connections
Use the platform’s relevant showroom, communication, inquiry and RFQ routes to connect with firms and develop commercial relationships.
06 / LAUNCH CREDITS & EDUCATION SUPPORT
An agreed support allocation.
No automatic credit award.
After the institutional ecosystem is established, additional education and company-launch support can be agreed for selected participating companies. Launch Credits are service-use credits for the platform services specified in that arrangement—not cash payments or financial loans.
Define the support before use
- The eligible teams and selection process.
- The supported company count and credit allocation.
- The exact services covered and usage conditions.
- The activation method and support period.
Explain what happens afterwards
- When the allocation expires or is used.
- Which services remain available.
- Which standard plans or charges would apply.
- Who communicates these conditions to the teams.
The institution selects its proposed teams through the agreed process. Eligibility and support arrangements must be confirmed before supported use begins. This guide does not specify a fixed credit amount, a six- or twelve-month entitlement, or an automatic account transfer.
07 / RESPONSIBILITIES & BOUNDARIES
Keep the institutional context clear.
Keep each business accountable.
The institution
Identify the programme contact, define its proposed ecosystem and eligible venture group, and explain any agreed support conditions to participants.
The participating company or team
Maintain its own company and offering information, confirm the authority to publish it and develop its own customer and commercial relationships.
An AI-Native Company is a digital business presence on MarineWorld. It does not itself create a registered legal entity or confer professional licensing. Institutional programme participation also does not grant Company Sales Partner status or Country Sector City operating rights; those are separate commercial models.
Activities unrelated to the defined Sector Cities, proposals without an identifiable sector application and requests based only on an institution’s general portfolio are outside this programme’s scope. Conventional engineering or professional services are not excluded merely because their own offering does not contain AI.
08 / PREPARE YOUR INSTITUTIONAL APPLICATION
A short application.
Enough context to define the right scope.
Your institution and lead
Institution name, faculty or centre, country, responsible contact and role, and website where available.
Your proposed ecosystem
Institutional path, relevant Sector Cities, venture activities, indicative cohort and any additional education or Launch Credit support requested.
Do not send student lists, passwords or confidential research documents in the first inquiry. The current form prepares an email for you to review and send to contact@marineworld.city; it does not automatically submit an application or issue an approval.
